Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication is a security enhancement that allows you to present two pieces of evidence (i.e., credentials) when logging in to an account.

Your credentials may fall into any of these three categories: (1) something you know, like a password or PIN, (2) something you possess, like a smart card or phone, or (3) something that is part of you, like a fingerprint.
