2019 World Championship Reflections and “Top 50” List
Post-Event Reflections
Congratulations to all the brave and energetic professionals who participated in the 2019 World Championship event.
What an event it was! We had hundreds of people working during their chosen shifts in the 24-hour window when the dedicated ProKnow DS hub was open for submissions. Not only did competitors have to get familiar with this new mode of competition (ProKnow DS), but they had to contour some critical anatomy (six organ-at-risk structures) then design optimal treatment plans meeting some very difficult metric objectives. They did all of this with the clock ticking to create a sense of urgency, as a large portion of the overall composite score (20%) was based on efficiency/speed of getting the work done and final plan submitted.
We heard from many participants — including past winners — that this was by far the toughest plan study yet. We tried to “take it up a notch” this year to combine contouring and planning skills, as well as distribute interactive results for all to see. We know that we have more room to improve for future plan studies, but we’ll keep improving if you keep competing and giving feedback.
Awards and “Top 50” List
Awards Video
We published an awards video soon after the event, and you can find it here to see the top placings per category and top 5 overall.
Top 50 List
The following table shows the list of the top 50 participants based on total composite score. Achievement points (for the ProKnow Achievement System) will be added in the coming weeks so that your resumé reflects your participation and, when applicable, your high performance.
Note: Mobile device users will need to use their finger to scroll horizontally to see all of the columns in the table.
